Daphnia are among the most successful crustaceans in freshwater, they are present in natural waters, partially in large amounts. They are therefore an important part of the food chain, and fish like to eat them. The Daphnia used originate from clean waters. Due to the special sera manufacturing process, they are – unlike frozen food – free from parasites and pathogens. Their valuable ingredients are retained due to the gentle processing.
