The quality of the food you use has large impact on the aquarium water quality. The higher the percentage of easily digestible food, the healthier the fish and their living environment. sera uses only first-class ingredients from sustainable sources as to achieve the high digestibility rate of 80%.

Complex procedures are being used in our plant for preparing, blending and processing these raw materials into the final product. sera foods consist of processed fine particles sized 25 µm and have a considerably higher grinding rate than comparable products from other manufacturers. They are therefore easier to digest by the fish. Furthermore, we entirely rely on the combination of natural single components present in the nutritional spectrum of the animals. The over 50 different ingredients are selected in a away that their combination strengthens the organism. This is, for instance, achieved by the positive effects of secondary plant substances. On the other hand, soybean and peas are intentionally not used in sera food due to their negative side effects. The ingredients are combined and processed in a way that otherwise usual binding agents are not required. Proteins from warm-blooded animals (e.g. gelatin) as binding agents, as they are being used in cheap foods, only cause problems in the metabolism of the fish – we therefore do not use them. Proteins from aquatic food organisms are used exclusively as to feed the fish as in nature.
