General information about Bumblebee Gobies (Brachygobius xanthozonus)

I purchased 4 bumblebee gobies, which requirements do they have? My male Betta looks as if being nibbled at since I added the gobies. Can they be the culprits?

Hello,

Concerning "requirements":
Bumblebee Gobies (Brachygobius xanthozonus) are rather fastidious and prefer a salt addition to the water.
They are in fact only suitable for a species-only tank generously equipped with viewing barriers (rock constructions, caves) with approx. 0.5 - 1% sea salt (500 - 1,000 grams per 100 liters). They often do not accept dry food −  however you can try sera Vipagran or soaked sera marin Granules.

Concerning "Betta":
this is not very likely, but the gobies are not very suitable for keeping together with Bettas (nor with other fish from pure freshwater) anyway. Therefore you should set up a suitable brackish water tank only for them.
