The sera AquaTank 160 L is the biggest aquarium of the range and provides everything required for a quick, successful start into the aquarium hobby: a modern aquarium including cabinet, energy saving LED lighting, a low maintenance, efficient internal filter and heater.

Different underwater worlds can be imitated or created on a basic area of 82 x 40 cm (32 x 16 in.) in the sera AquaTank – there are no boundaries to creativity. Since the aquarium does not require a hood, even bigger roots or rocks extending beyond the aquarium edge can be used in the aquarium. Due to the safety stripes attached approximately 1 cm (0.4 in.) underneath the glass edge, the risk of fish jumping out or shrimps crawling out is considerably reduced.

Three different hardscapes, consisting of roots, rocks and bottom ground, were developed especially for the sera AquaTanks as a part of the sera aquarium concept. The "Rio Negro" hardscape is particularly well suited for this aquarium with 160 liters (42 US gal.). A shoal of South American tetras feels just as well as swordtails, platies and other live-bearing fish here. But it also provides a great home for dwarf cichlids such as ramirezis or plecos.

The suitable technical equipment is already provided: The LED X-Change Tubes in the "daylight sunrise" and "cool daylight" versions included in the kit resemble natural daylight and thus ensure aquarium lighting close to nature. In this package, the LED tubes are elegantly installed above the aquarium with acrylic glass holders. The transparent holders allow lighting across the entire width of the tank. The internal filter provides 3 filter chambers already equipped with filter media, and therefore is immediately ready to use. The heater provides additional protection for protecting the animals as to prevent burns of the fish (especially in case of catfish).
