Due to the integration of fine filter sponges, the single celled algae transported into the filter are being removed from the water without additional energy consumption. The two vertically located micro sponges retain the algae in a directed way. Should the sponges become clogged due to too long cleaning intervals, the water directly gets into the biological filter system via the overflow system. Particularly convenient: The filter sponges can be replaced and washed out during filter operation.
Like its predecessor, the further developed sera KOI Professional 24000 pond filter convinces with multi-step filtration. The water is first directed through a 200 µm stainless steel split sieve, where leaf parts and other particles are removed. The Matala mat enriches the water with oxygen. Afterwards, approximately 30 liters of sera siporax Professional within the collection chamber ensure the biological purification of the water. Optionally, pond keepers may also install the sera pond UV System 55 W for a pathogen reducing treatment. It is effective against unwanted floating algae and micro organisms.
