sera Rock Hole Stone

The sera Rock Hole Stone is a classic hole rock that is in particular being used in many "Africa" theme freshwater aquariums (e.g. lakes Malawi or Tanganyika). Its name already tells its most obvious property: the holey surface with many cavities and furrows. The holes do not only provide plenty of space for great planting, for instance with Anubias, Java fern or Bolbitis, but also nice hideaways for fish, shrimps and crayfish.
The sera Rock Hole Stone is available in the two sizes S/M and L:
- sera Rock Hole Stone S/M: 0.6 – 1.4 kg (1.3 – 3.1 lb.)
- sera Rock Hole Stone L: 2 – 3 kg (4.4 – 6.6. lb.)
The rock is slightly lime containing so it can harden the water a bit. This means the carbonate hardness (KH for short) becomes higher. It is therefore advisable to check the carbonate hardness once a week and regulate it by partial water changes if required.
