Pond Siporax Original is a high performance filter medium with an ideally structured surface for the settling of (de)nitrifying filter bacteria. The special open-pored and three-dimensional tunnel structure provides a much larger settling area for the same filter volume compared to other standard filter media. The interconnected pores made of recycled sintered glass ensure ideal water circulation within the filter medium. This kind of biological self-cleaning considerably improves the operation time of the filter until the next cleaning.
