sera Gravel Ocher CO2 geçirmezdir ve suya karşı nötrdür, yani su parametreleri üzerinde etkisi yoktur ve suyu boyamaz. 0 - 2 mm tanecik ebadı sayesinde bitkiler kusursuzca büyüyebilir. Yuvarlak şekilli tanecikler sayesinde bu doğal kum aynı zamanda kedibalığı gibi dip odaklı balıkların beslenmesi için de uygundur.
sera Gravel Ocher bağımsız bir enstitü tarafından DIN 38415-6 / EN ISO 15088 standartlarına göre değerlendirilmiş ve kirleticiler içermediği kanıtlanmıştır. Bu nedenle hassas hayvanların bakım ve beslenmesi için de uygundur.
