Is another nocturnal switchoff required in addition to the seramic CO2 control unit?
I have a seramic CO2 control unit. Do I have to install an additional solenoid valve for nocturnal switchoff, or can I simply switch off the control unit at night?

both is not necessary, the seramic in itself works as a nocturnal switchoff due to pH control!
Plants do not take up CO2 at night, the fish continue to breathe it out - therefore the pH tends to sink and does not become higher. Accordingly, the unit will not supply CO2.
The seramic therefore continuously remains in operation, and no additional valve apart from the one the unit includes is required!
