Innovative sera CO2-technology

sera expands the product range and ensures optimal supply with the sera flore CO₂ fertilization system.

The product is suitable for aquariums up to 300 liters and ensures optimal CO₂ levels in the water due to the different, excellently matching components. This is required by plants for building up organic compunds for their growth during photo synthesis.

Due to the pressure diffuser and the professional sera flore CO₂ pressure reducer, manufactured in Germany, the correct fertilizer  amount is evenly released from a 500 g CO₂ pressure gas bottle. A high quality fine-adjustment needle valve allows for particularly precise adjustment. The included adapter allows to connect one-way CO₂ bottles to the pressure reducer.

The beautifully shaped sera flore CO₂ pressure diffuser with integrated bubble counter ensures a high CO₂ dissolution rate. Furthermore, it can be dismantled and cleaned. The integrated CO₂ bubble counter allows to read off the precise amount of the released carbon dioxide.

The kit includes a 500 g pressure gas bottle, a CO₂ long term indicator, five meters of connecting hose as well as the sera fertilizers florena and flore daydrops.

Triggered by the CO₂ fertilization, excess algae growth is additionally prevented – because the better the plants grow, the higher ther consumption of algae nutrients. This also leads to a stabiliziation of the pH value.

The sera flore CO₂ fertilization allows to easily keep the carbon dioxide amount in the water on an optimal level.

Especially convenient: The CO₂ fertilization system is easy to instally – even for beginners.

Dissolving larger amounts of CO₂ for supplying plants in an aquarium is not successful with most reactors available on the market. However, the two new sera flore CO₂ active reactors dissolve the CO₂ entirely and without remainders - and if required, even in larger amounts (the bigger one deals with up to 1,000 CO₂ bubbles per minute). The units (sera flore CO₂ active reactor 500 for aquariums up to 600 liters and sera flore CO₂ active reactor 1,000 for aquariums above 600 liters) are usually installed outside the aquarium in a cabinet (installation within larger aquariums is also possible) and integrated into the outlet water flow of the present external filter. With its pump, the external filter operates the double rotor of the CO₂ active reactor, which disperses the CO₂ directed into the active reactor and dissolves it by 100 %.

Other gases (mostly nitrigen, about 0.5 % of which are present in CO₂ supply bottles) are dissolved this was and do not cause any problems. The reactors can be installed in the cabinet with the included holder and are provided with union nuts allowing for securely fastening the hoses. Due to hydrodynamic optimization, the water flow of the connected external filter or the pump is virtually not inhibited.

This design object makes it easy to monitor the added CO₂ optically. The unit is submerged in the water and thus simply filled. The CO₂ bubbles cleanly separate from the inner tip and allow for easy counting.

The kit includes 2 suction cup holders for safe attachment.
