Neon tetras with bloated bellies
I keep neon tetras in my aquarium, and two of them are thicker in the anal fin region as usual. They are also swimming slower and not as much as usual, and they dwell near the bottom of the aquarium. Is it possible that they are about to reproduce, or are they ill?

females ready to spawn (which is rather uncommon in aquariums) do not become apathetic, therefore it sounds more like a disease. Of course, this cannot be determined without further details or a picture, but this might be a case of dropsy
In case this is confirmed you can and should treat with sera baktopur direct in a quarantine tank without delay.
