Can I use sera bio nitrivec in a stocked aquarium?
Is it possible to use sera bio nitrivec in a running aquarium setup stocked with fish?
Hello,
this is of course possible, e.g. during the water changes mentioned on the label.
However, you can also just add it into the filter as to improve the biological breakdown performance. This is especially important if the filter has been affected biologically, e.g. by a disease treatment.
It is particularly effective (but possibly difficult in an already running aquarium) to soak sera siporax Professional in sera bio nitrivec for a few minutes and then put it into the filter. This allows for biological activation in very short time.
Please shake the bottles vigorously (!) before using bacteria based products such as sera bio nitrivec and sera filter biostart. This will loosen bakteria films possibly attached to the bottle wall.
