Female Butterfly Cichlid attacks newly added male
I would like to know why my female Butterfly Cichlid keeps attacking the younger male I added.

it is entirely normal among cichlids that newly added fish are not immediately accepted - a male and a female are not a pair yet.
The fish often find together after a certain habituation period - however, there is no guarantee for that. It is most problematic, if the "established" fish previously had another partner and lost it.
The aquarium should in any case be densely planted and set up with optical barriers so chased fish can hide.
