Wound on a Black Molly
My fish (a Black Molly) has a spot on his scales near the tail that is white and looks sore! Is there a treatment, or is this even normal?
Hello,
a small injury (loss of a scale) is usually not much of a problem and will heal by itself under hygienic conditions. You just have to take care that no secondary infection, e.g. by bacteria or fungi occurs.
You can prevent secondary infections by adding sera baktopur. This is by all means advisable in case of large or deep wounds which of course take longer for healing than a small superficial injury!
