Black Widow Tetras (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi) spawned
My Black Widow Tetras have already spawned twice (with about a week inbetween). Fry have hatched after the first time (I could see only 2), but many eggs were already eaten while spawning, and so were the babies. Now, after the second time, I placed the uneaten eggs in a breeding container. And this time, there was mold on the eggs the next morning, presumably because there was no water current inside the breeding container. I hope my tetras will spawn a third time ... but what should I do with the eggs then? Is there a possibility that the parents will somewhen stop eating their offspring?

Concerning "spawn mold":
It is also possible that the eggs were not or only partially fertilized. Unfertilized eggs quickly fall apart and become moldy, mold can then also spread to healthy eggs.
Concerning "next spawn":
You can try to put them into a breeding net (such as our breeding container), this allows for excellent water exchange.
A directed breeding attempt is also possible. In that case, courting pairs are transferred into a breeding tank and then removed again immediately after they have spawned.
Concerning "eat up offspring":
No - this will not happen in case of tetras.
