Does nocturnal LED lighting disturb sleeping fish?

I recently purchased a moonlight set for aquariums/terrariums! These blue LEDs light my aquarium at night, but rather in the center of my 1.20 m aquarium. My fish only have a small area that is not lighted. The 4 LEDs are of course not very strong, but I do not wish to harm my fish after all!

Hello,

there should be no problems, provided the light intensity of the LEDs is not too high - in nature, the animals have to live with moonshine as well!

You can easily find out whether it is too bright for them by checking if they apparently sleep calmly. If they now leave their usual sleeping places and retreat into a cave, under leaves or a root, this would indicate too much light.

Generally, the aquarium should of course provide this opportunity, i.e. be set up in a way that allows the fish to retreat into shady zones for sleeping if they prefer to do so.

Best regards
