Is it normal that sera baktopur direct tablets dissolve rather slowly?
I purchased sera baktopur direct today. The leaflet says to add one tablet per each 50 liters (11 US gal.) of water. I did so and saw the first tablet dissolve not at all or very poorly. Should I break the tablets into small bits before adding them as to make them dissolve quicker in the water?

you need to be a bit patient here, the tablets dissolve rather slowly but entirely! This has technical reasons.
You can dissolve them in a little water before use without breaking them, or you can break them and distribute the chunks in the aquarium, but this is actually not necessary. It does not cause any harm if you add the tablet in one piece and then just give it the time it needs to dissolve.
