New gourami attacks older ones

I have added a second female to my gourami pair (Trichogaster trichopterus, Blue Gourami). It is still considerably smaller than the two adult fish. Today I noticed that the old female has bloody sores, and I observed that the new female actually molests and threatens her. She also attacked the Pearl Gouramis. Should I treat them, and if yes, how?

Hello,

this raises the suspicion that it possibly is not a female but a juvenile male!

In case of open injuries, a mild anti-bacterial treatment (liquid sera baktopur) makes sense as to avoid secondary infections. Good water hygiene provided, such injuries heal quickly and without remaining traces, making a further treatment unnecessary.

In case the attacks do not become less it may become necessary to put the new fish into separate tank before serious injuries or even losses occur.
