Socialization of Discus
Which other fish can I keep together with discus fish?
Hello,
basically, most calm and peaceful South American fish are suited, for instance most tetras, dwarf cichlids and armored catfish.
Keeping discus together with angelfish is sometimes successful in large aquariums [more than approx. 800 liters (176 US gal.)]. Accordingly large aquariums provided, Geophagus and related cichlids may also be suitable.
Be a bit careful with larger loricariids - some of them tend to attach themselves to the discus and cause them skin injuries while doing so.
